Using ColdFront (Early Adopters)

Are you new to managing High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources or looking to streamline your allocation processes? Join us for an in-depth workshop on ColdFront, an innovative HPC allocation tool designed to simplify the management of computing resources.

In this session, you'll be introduced to the core features of ColdFront, including its user-friendly interface for creating and managing SMU HPC allocations on ManeFrame 3 and SuperPOD, tracking resource usage, and ensuring efficient project management. We'll guide you through the setup process, demonstrate how to allocate resources effectively, and provide tips on how to monitor and adjust allocations in real-time.

Whether you're an HPC administrator, researcher, or student, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to optimize your use of HPC resources using ColdFront. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of how to leverage ColdFront to enhance your computational workflows and maximize the performance of your HPC environment.
