This workshop will assist you in locating company financial information such as annual reports, income statements, and ratios using Mergent Online, Business Insights: Global and S&P Capital IQ. You will learn effective search strategies for finding accounting standards and tax accounting regulations using Checkpoint. Accounting students and others researching company financial data will benefit from this workshop.

Our Accounting Research workshops include In-Library resources. However, since this workshop will be held via Zoom, you can obtain off-campus access. If you are taking this workshop as a requirement for a Finance class, you should already have a personal login for S&P Capital IQ. For all others, as long as you register at least one week in advance and you are a current SMU student, you should receive an email from S&P Capital IQ with login information. If you do not receive the login, you will still benefit from participating in the workshop.
