Learn to use the tools found in professional offices.

This workshop will assist students in locating research on stocks, bonds and mutual funds as well as other investment instruments. You will learn effective search strategies for finding analysis, mergers and acquisitions deals, and comparisons to peer companies using Capital IQ, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Pitchbook and Value Line. Finance students will benefit from this workshop.

If you are taking this workshop as a requirement for a Finance class, you should already have a personal login for FactSet and Capital IQ. For all others, as long as you register at least one week in advance and you are a current SMU student, you should receive emails from FactSet and Capital IQ with login information. If you do not receive the logins, you will still benefit from participating in the workshop.

Any person who requires a reasonable accommodation on the basis of a disability in order to participate in this program should contact the Business Library at AskaBizLibrarian@smu.edu or 214-768-4496 at least one week prior to the event to arrange for the accommodation.
