Learn to use the tools found in professional offices.

Locate research on stocks, bonds and mutual funds as well as other investment instruments. Learn effective search strategies for finding analysis, mergers and acquisitions deals, and comparisons to peer companies using Capital IQ, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Pitchbook and Value Line. Finance students will benefit.

If you are taking this as a requirement for a Finance class, you should already have a personal login for FactSet and Capital IQ. For all others, as long as you register at least one week in advance and you are a current SMU student, you should receive emails from FactSet and Capital IQ with login information. If you do not receive the logins, you will still benefit from participating.

Any person who requires a reasonable accommodation on the basis of a disability in order to participate in this program should contact presenter at bizworkshops@smu.edu at least one week prior to the event to arrange for the accommodation.

Interested but can't come at this time? Request a Workshop to meet the specific needs of your class, writing group, department, or student organization.
